YES! Â鶹Éçʼþ is thrilled to bring the long-running, award-winning weekly broadcast news program Rising Up With Sonali under the YES! umbrella. The program marks a new avenue to deliver YES!’s independent, inspiring solutions journalism for a better world—now on radio and television!
YES! Presents: Rising Up With Sonali will explore how grassroots communities in the United States and beyond are reshaping our world for the better: whether by reimagining public safety, promoting sustainable projects to make fossil fuels obsolete, building a fair economy, or pushing a diversifying nation to live up to its democratic ideals. The show will explore the front lines of justice-driven work: abolition, reparations, LandBack, abortion access, trans rights, labor organizing, and so much more.
Sonali will also feature interviews with some of YES!’s best writers, deep dives into the hard-hitting solutions journalism YES! publishes daily, and sneak peeks of the carefully curated stories appearing in our quarterly print magazine. She will continue to serve as host and producer of Rising Up With Sonali, in addition to her duties as racial justice editor at YES! New videos from the show will be available every week at th Sonali.
YES! Presents: Rising Up With Sonali will continue to air on dozens of community radio stations and Pacifica affiliates nationwide. The show airs every Thursday at 3 p.m. PST, 6 p.m. EST on Free Speech TV, which is on Dish Network, DirecTV, Roku, Sling TV, and more.
